Felix Storch, Inc., (FSI) was founded in 1969 and has been a leading supplier of specialty, professional, commercial, and medical refrigerators and freezers, as well as cooking appliances ever since. In our first year, we trademarked the Summit Appliance® brand name and began our distribution in Long Island City, New York. In 1983, needing additional room for expansion, we moved our headquarters and operations to the Bronx. In 1998 we purchased our current HQ building in the Bronx, where our manufacturing, operations, back office, and distribution are all located. Despite our expansion, we remain a private, family-owned business.
At FSI, our focus is crafting innovative products to meet the unique needs of customers who might not find their appliance solution in a big box store. We carry a huge selection of major appliances in hard-to-find footprints, including counter depth smaller kitchen refrigerator-freezers; under-counter selections in 12, 15, 18, 20, 24 and 30 inch widths; and the industry’s largest collection of 32” high ADA compliant undercounter products. Our Accucold® medical refrigeration line includes selections for general purpose, products with defined temperature ranges, and highly stabilized vaccine refrigeration. Our manufacturing facilities allow us to customize our product line in both style and function, such as achieving specific temperature ranges (whether colder or warmer) for unique food, beverage, or medical products; changing the exterior appearance of appliances to match homes, offices or institutional settings; or modifying the performance and dimensions of products to fit unusual spaces.
